Community Bridge Builders On Air
Lindsey Plant and Trudi Gibbons from
mcch’s
Informal Day Service in Mid Essex were interviewed by Dave Monk from Essex Radio on Tuesday the 2
nd
of March at 11.40am.
Dave asked a number of questions about the service and their roles in supporting people to access the many services and opportunities within the local community as part of their recovery from mental health problems. The interview was a great advert for the service,
mcch
and the great things which are going on to support people as part of their recovery from mental health problems.
To listen to the show, please visit the
BBC Essex Radio website
- available for a short period only.
The service focuses on helping people to plan and work towards accessing services (mainly concentrating on everyday things like the Gym, local groups and clubs all the way through to employment).
Lindsey and Trudi have worked hard to get the service up and running and are now supporting over 40 people from around the Braintree District and running 2 community planning sessions.
Over the coming months we hope to be supporting more people and seeing some great achievements from many people who have linked with the team.
The team work tirelessly to promote individuals' opportunities to improve their wellbeing and feel much more a part of the local community.
