Individual housing solutions
As a result of increased interest in supported living and home ownership, mcch have developed and funded a post which works with individuals who use our services and families to enable a wide range of housing options to be developed. mcch is not able to provide a housing solution for everyone, but our skilled Properties Development Officer can provide local knowledge and expertise to enable people to make an informed choice.
Challenging behaviour and exotic communication
mcch have worked in partnership with several local authorities and Primary Care Trusts in the South East to provide specialist services for people who have very special support requirements in both their living environment and the competency and skills of the staff teams who support them. This has enabled people to live in their own homes instead of residential services, often many miles from their families.
Person centred planning
The Government white paper “Valuing People” first published in 2001 launched a very significant agenda regarding the empowerment of service users. mcch have responded and appointed our own Person Centred Planning Training Consultant to ensure that person centred planning is high on our modernisation agenda.
