mcch will provide Employment Development Workers, who will work within the Individual Placement and Support Model and provide employment retention support, skills development and links with Job Centre Plus. The Employment Development Worker will also devise Action Plans for clients, negotiate work placements and develop ongoing working relationships with employers.

 Blackthorn Trust

The Blackthorn Trust will provide an Employment Development Worker, who will have a presence within the One Stop Shop, and will work within the Individual Placement and Support Model. The Employment Development Worker will devise Action Plans for clients. The Blackthorn Trust will also provide skills development for clients, both at the One Stop Shop and at its own premises at St Andrews Road. The Blackthorn Trust will offer a full range of services including job search, employer connections and support.

 The Winfield Trust

The Winfield Trust will have exclusive use of rooms allocated within the One Stop Shop to deliver I.T. training with accredited qualifications. This will contribute towards individual’s skills development and all aspects of their work will be included in Action Plans.

The Winfield Trust aim to offer both level one and level two qualifications. In the future Winfield Trust will also provide added value to the Partnership by providing a limited service to people who may be referred through primary care.

                               


 Vocational Advisors

The Vocational Advisor role is embedded into the core work of the Community Mental Health Team and meets the vocational, training, education and employment aspects of CPA as recommended by NSF, DoH and NICE Guidelines. It has resulted in actively raising the vocational profile within the CPA process and has had an overwhelming demand from service users and staff alike.

The role of the Vocational Advisor ensures that clients who have vocational aspirations have their needs assessed and care planned, utlilising a range of statutory and voluntary sector services to enable this vocational pathway to occur.

The One Stop Shop will formally link the partnership approach and result in further enhancement of vocational service provision in the Maidstone area.
           


 Other Organisations

The One Stop Shop makes good links with associates outside the One Stop Shop, such as job centres, Jobcentre Plus, local employers and further education centres. Each member of the Partnership represents the interests of the Partnership to outside organisations, in order to facilitate good working relationships.
